BAHR Seafood, one of Egypt’s biggest seafood restaurants, was among the names honoured at the Excellence & Creativity Forum this week.
The recognition was presented for the restaurant’s years of work, and for the quality and taste that have built its reputation with diners.
Seafood holds a particular place in Egyptian eating, from the fish markets of Alexandria and Suez to the grill houses of Cairo, where diners choose their catch by weight and have it cooked to order. Restaurants that can keep that freshness at scale are few, and the ones that do tend to become destinations in their own right.
