Dollar climbs past 53 pounds
The US dollar reached 53.47 Egyptian pounds on Thursday, up about 3 per cent since mid-September.
The US dollar continued to rise against the Egyptian pound on Thursday 15 October, reaching 53.47 pounds on international markets, an increase of about 3 per cent since mid-September.
In Egyptian banks, the dollar crossed the 53-pound mark, reaching about 53.05 pounds to buy at the National Bank of Egypt and Banque Misr.
