Postcard: a modern face beside Nefertiti
Same land, a different perspective: from what Egypt was to what it is becoming.

The bust of Nefertiti, the queen who ruled beside Akhenaten in the 14th century BC, is one of the most recognised images of ancient Egypt. The original, found at Amarna in 1912, is today in Berlin’s Neues Museum.
This illustration places it beside a modern Egyptian woman: the same land, seen from two ends of its history, and the idea behind cairo.kmt.
