Mohamed Fouad returns to cinema after 21 years with Qalbi fi New York
The singer and actor’s new film ends two decades away from the big screen.

Mohamed Fouad is returning to the big screen. His new film, Qalbi fi New York, marks his first cinema role in 21 years and opens a new chapter in a career that has always moved between music and film.
Fouad’s last film was the 2005 romantic comedy Ghawi Houb. He has acted on television since, most recently in the Ramadan drama El Daher in 2017.
Much of the new film was shot abroad. Fouad has described it as an international production, with about 80 per cent filmed in the United States and Latin America, according to Saudi newspaper Okaz.
