El Gouna Film Festival’s opening night red carpet
The stars who walked the red carpet as the ninth edition opened on the Red Sea.
The ninth edition of El Gouna Film Festival opened on Thursday 15 October with a red carpet that drew many of Egyptian cinema’s best-known faces.
Arrivals included Amina Khalil, Amir El Masry, Arwa Gouda, Asmaa Galal, Huda El Mufti, Yasmina El Abd, Jana El Ashkar, Caroline, Dina El Sherbiny, Dorra, Karim Fahmy and his wife Dania, Mayan El-Sayed, Mona Zaki, Nour El Ghandour and Rakeen Saad.
The looks
Yasmina El Abd, fresh from the Grand Egyptian Museum’s opening ceremony, sparkled in black and shared a moment with Jana El Ashkar, while Asmaa Galal went all black and Dorra chose black and white.
The ceremony brought the stage, the applause and the festival’s first speeches. The festival runs until 23 October.
