Crystals, lace, sequins and sapphire: El Gouna’s red carpet delivered some of the most talked-about looks of the year.
The looks
Cynthia Khalifeh wore the phases of the moon. Hana El Zahed chose lace, ruffles and a little black bow. Jana El Ashkar went for a corset, fringe and sparkle, and Yasmina El Abd arrived in a gown that looked like a sky full of stars, before returning in sage on another night.
Mais Hamdan paired a golden corset with a sparkling black gown, Mariam Ashraf Zaky wore copper mosaic, Mayan El-Sayed went for leather and curls, and Dorra had a bronze moment. Mona Zaki said her look ticked one off her bucket list, and Asmaa Galal chose black, white and a little drama.
Among the men, Hassan El Raddad brought old-Hollywood charm in all white, and Ziad Zaza kept it sharp in a tuxedo.
The duos
The festival was also a night for couples. Ahmed El Saadany and Mirna El Helbawi matched a midnight tuxedo with a red dress, while Karim Fahmy and his wife Dania were, for many, the couple of the night.
El Gouna also missed one regular: Rania Mansour, whose sculpted plum-and-black gown at a previous edition is still remembered. Which look is your favourite?
