Salah and the Pharaohs celebrate the Hassan brothers’ new contract
Egypt’s captain led the squad in congratulating Hossam and Ibrahim Hassan after the coaching staff were kept on through 2030.

Egypt captain Mohamed Salah and the national team squad gathered to celebrate Hossam Hassan and his twin brother Ibrahim after the renewal of the coaching staff’s contracts. There were hugs, smiles and a cake to mark the occasion.
The Egyptian Football Association announced on 1 September that it had renewed the contracts of head coach Hossam Hassan and his staff through 2030, after first approving the extension in July. Ibrahim Hassan stays on as team director.

After the World Cup
The new deal follows Egypt’s run at the 2026 World Cup, where the team recorded the country’s first win at the tournament before going out in the round of 16 after a 3–2 defeat by Argentina. Hossam Hassan had been working without a contract since February.
One squad, one goal: the journey continues.
