Barcelona celebrates Hamza Abdelkarim’s first Egypt goal
From his first international goal to a shoutout from FC Barcelona, the young striker is making headlines.
Hamza Abdelkarim’s first senior goal for Egypt did not go unnoticed in Spain. FC Barcelona included the striker in its round-up of internationals, noting that he “also got on the scoresheet in Egypt’s win over South Sudan.”
Abdelkarim came off the bench and scored in stoppage time to complete Egypt’s 5–0 win in Juba on 29 September, in a qualifier for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.
The future looks bright. Where do you see him in five years?
