El-Sisi: the October Victory shows Egypt will never give up its land
Marking 53 years since the 1973 war, the president also said Egypt would tolerate no action that compromises its water security.

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi said the October Victory affirms to the whole world that Egypt will never relinquish its land, in a speech marking the 53rd anniversary of the October 1973 war.

Great nations, he said, always have the ability to turn defeat into victory and cross towards a brighter future. “I salute the souls of our noble martyrs and reaffirm to their families and loved ones that Egypt will never forget its loyal sons,” he said.

“Today, drawing on the spirit of October, we derive the determination to continue building the New Republic,” he said.
