Salah to return for Egypt’s November camp
Officials say the captain will be back for the Malawi qualifiers after tension with coach Hossam Hassan.
Mohamed Salah will return to Egypt’s squad for the November camp, after tension between the captain and coach Hossam Hassan.
A spokesperson for the Ministry of Youth and Sports said there was no crisis between Salah and the coaching staff, and that the captain would be back as Egypt prepare for two qualifiers against Malawi on 11 and 15 November.
Salah was substituted around the hour mark of the 0–0 draw with Angola in September, a decision that fuelled speculation in the Egyptian media, and then missed the 5–0 win in South Sudan, officially because of the artificial pitch.
